Life is Beautiful!
Have you ever had one of those days when nothing seems to go right? A better question might be "When was the last time you had one of those days?" Maybe you received a phone call first thing in the morning that threw off your routine and made you late. Perhaps that phone call involved some bad news or added some additional tasks and time to your day. Maybe you had to contact a service provider with less-than-stellar customer support that seemed to rob not only your valuable minutes but also your precious sanity. A tough day at work or an argument with a loved one can also quickly drain anybody's emotional reserves and even bring on a tension headache.
How do we get through those tough days? We all have our coping skills; some definitely work better than others depending on the circumstances. Sometimes it just seems that sheer willpower (and maybe a lot of caffeine!) get us through these challenging times. Sometimes "Keep Calm and Carry On" truly is the best survival tactic.
One fact to remember, luxurious ones, is that life is beautiful. No matter what difficulty we're experiencing, it will pass. Breathe. Give freely and generously of yourself, but don't neglect your own needs. Share your burdens. When you're pressed, stressed or under duress, remember that a little kindness goes a long way. Above all, remember that we always have a choice in how we react.
